It’s Good Information

Well if you are like me and are new to Blogs, Wordpress, Search Engine Optimization, Plug-ins and all the other things that we are told that we should be doing to ensure we get our messages out to the world, then you have probably spent the last few weeks completely blown away by the complexity and apparent difficulty of achieving what you want to achieve.

I don’t know about you, but when I decided to become a blogger, I wanted to prove that Times were Changing in Network Marketing and Lead Generation. Guided by The Renegade System I thought it was going to be easy! It is not.Now all I want to prove is that I can write a successful blog and get it on the search engines and hopefully along the way I can help other ‘NORMAL’ people achieve the same.

Why is everything so complicated, or is it just me.? Have I got left behind in the generation gap, maybe that is what I should be proving, that people over 40 can fly a computer and publish a blog!  Well as you can see I got the Wordpress up and running OK. What A fantastic program! (all be it with a little/help from my friend, Duncan) http://learn-how-2.net/  I have even manage to get the links and banners, etc. on to the site and I think it looks OK for a beginner.

 Now that the bug has started to take hold, and I have tried to write more professional looking posts, I thought I would buy some books to help me on my way. Something simple, or so I thought that would help me though the basics. ‘WordPress for Dummies’- surly I would be able to understand that. I should point out at this point that I have a degree in Business and am what is considered by others to be reasonable well educated. Did this book help? No! I found reading the book more confusing than sitting on the Wordpress editor and playing about. The thing that I have found is, the more I use it, the easier it becomes. Yes I know I should be doing more to get traffic to my site, but until I can fly this Wordpress program and feel confident in what I am doing then how can I tell others how to do the same? Well that the afternoon gone. It took me nearly an hour to get the link to work in this post, but I did it and so can you.
